a head splurge

i've always loved hats especially in the fall!  especially this "boater" style.  i splurged and got a $100 hat today because deep down in my heart i feel like i will wear it to death.  I HOPE.  this simple black boater hat will go with everything... i'm ready to sass up some fall outfits with this!

a nude heel

{navaeh nude pumps by Betsey Johnson $148}

the shoe, a lovely blush pink/ nude platform heel by Betsey Johnson.  the bow detail and leopard
print bottom makes it a little sassier than the everyday pump.

a modern veil

a vintage yet modern take on a veil... the hat veil lol.  i love hats and headpieces and the vintage feel of this sassy little hat is adorable.  i think it will look good weather i choose to wear my hair up or down.  silk coil hat by BHLDN, $120.

less than 30 days away....

and i finally order a dress!  i will most likely add a simple, pretty blush pink silk sash to it to give it a little more of a defined waistline.  cross my fingers that it fits like a glove, but not too much like a glove.  i will love this dress with my cropped fur jacket too!

getting winter ready

the weather has been so cool and crisp here which has put me in a frantic mood to wear the rest of my summer pieces that I haven't been able to wear yet this year!  went shopping yesterday with jenny and picked up some great beauty products for the Fall/ Winter season.  this Rice & Bamboo Gentle Dermabrasion by C.O. Bigelow is available at Bath and Body Works and is AMAZING.  it is gentle, smells soooo good, and leaves my skin baby soft afterwards.  it will be great for exfoliation and adding moisture in the cold weather.

while there i picked up my FAVORITE holiday season candle from Bath and Body Works, the Autumn scent.  So festive and guests always rave how they can smell my apartment from down the street!

now that i'm older, my skin needs all the moisture it can get.  i love tinted moisturizers all-year round for the S.P.F. and the subtle color.  this one is great and gives you smooth skin and a natural glow even in the winter.

{bare minerals foundation in medium beige $27}

my everyday foundation, bare Minerals gives you a natural, matte look without feeling bogged down by makeup.  known for giving you beautiful, natural skin and improving your skin with wear.  i wear this year goodie year round.

switch out your powder blush during the cold weather for Benefit's famous "benetint".  just put a few drops on the apples of your cheeks and use our finger to blend in for a natural, just stepped inside from the snowy outdoors flush.

i trade in my sweet, summer florals for a muskier, earthier scent like "Stella" by Tocca.  i love the scent and the bottle makes you feel like you're glamming up in a 1920's boudoir.

my all-natural sugar scrub i make (available in the "Pamper" beauty set i offer) is PERFECT for keeping your hands and feet from getting peely and dry in the cold weather.  the natural almond oil and other essential oils give your skin maximum moisture and softness while the sugar scrubs away dead, flaky skin.  awesome!

my hand-poured lip balms are made from all-natural, super moisturizing ingredients like sweet almond oil, shea butter, and blood orange essential oil and will keep your lips soft and moisturized all winter without all the nasty additives in other lip glosses.

omg i'm in low-calorie love....

i normally don't go out of my way to rave about products, but since i haven't been going out to eat much due to my restricted diet (hello my wedding is like 39 days away!!!) i've been having to rely on easy-grab goodies and ready-made meals because of my super cray schedule as of late.  since i've been working out i get hungry at random times and sometimes just need a lil somethin' to get me through.  i was elated when i saw this reduced-guilt Spinach & Kale Greek Yogurt Dip at Trader Joe's the other day and now i am TOTALLY OBSESSED.  i know this sounds like an infomercial but it is so good at only 30 calories per serving plus packed with healthy stuff like kale, spinach, carrots and greek yogurt!  i have them with TJ's sea salt pita chips (100 calories a serving).  i saw on another site about mixing it with tuna to make a healthier tuna salad....so smart!

some more low-cal goodies i've been crazy about lately below...

new glasses

{my new PRADA frames from Lenscrafters}

finally splurged and got myself some new glasses today!  matt has been urging me to constantly because it's bad for my eyes to wear contacts every single day but a lot of glasses fit weird on my face.  this bigger frame actually looks better on me than most.  i was looking for a chic everyday type of eyewear and these are perfect i hope.
