etsy: soy candles

 

i've been experimenting with soy candles.  this is my first one.  "fresh pear + apricot"

scented soy candle in a pretty seafoam.  i love it!

 

i haven't decided if i will be selling them in my shop yet, but i will definitely be making

them for myself. i have always been a candle snob, so i will be making really pretty,

strongly-scented candles

 

recipe: Vegetarian Soy Philly Cheesesteaks

one of my favorite easy go-to dinners when i'm feeling lazy and tired after a long day:  SANDWICHES!

this "healthy" philly cheesesteak is made with Trader Joe's vegetarian soy beef strips, yellow and green bell peppers, and grilled onions.  saute and add seasonings (salt and pepper, crushed red pepper, garlic powsder, etc) and top on a toasted hoagie roll with some melted cheese (i uses low-fat mozzarella--provolone is better!)
