So now that Christmas is over I am done working all the time and now I am barely working (and barely making ends meet!)...but the sunny side to that is that I have a lot of time to spend in the studio working on whatever projects I want. Irene and I stayed up all night doing drawings. I am hoping to have the rest of them painted and framed by the end of this week.
Here is one that I finished of my favorite animal the Red Panda.
These are 4"x4" for $30/$35 shipped in the US original watercolors framed
I decided I am going to get a red panda tattoo somewhere probably and cover up another tattoo on my forearm that I don't like with a bluebird.
Muffin has been enjoying the move because there are random bags and boxes laying around for her to hide in.
Now she's being all lazy and stretched out getting her fur all over everything.
And here's a picture we took on the first night we stayed at the new house. It's a picture of a polaroid, sorry it's blurry.
this is my life with bryan and my cats. food, cats, fashion, adventure and love in no particular order.

Upcoming Art Projects
So one of the awesome gifts I got Andy was the brand new dvd-boxed set of Discovery Channel's "Planet Earth" series. There was a short segment on Birds of Paradise and it was one of the most amazing things I've ever seen on tv! The birds look like beautiful freaks....aliens or something. They just look so crazy and unreal. So it inspired me to do a series of paintings that will be called "Birds of Paradise: Exotic birds of Papau New Guinea".
The thing is photographs and information on this species of birds is pretty rare so I will have to get something resourceful, like this book in order to be able to do it, but it's pretty expensive (like $160)
So Andy has been obsessed with wild mushrooms for a while now, particularly the Amanitas Muscaria, and I have always thought wild mushrooms to be interesting and pretty, so I am also going to do a wild mushroom series as well.
"amanitas muscaria"
I actually got Andy a gorgeous jar from Anthropologie that has wild mushrooms on it as a Christmas gift because I knew he would appreciate it. I'll post a photo of it later.

Christmas Christmas
This Christmas has been amazing thus far! It's Andy and I's first christmas together. We've just moved into an adorable little house and are almost done setting everything up. It looks pretty good already! And Irene and I have a studio room and Andy has a huge backyard. I have a feeling I will be spending a lot of time in the studio room working away on projects (I hope). Here are a few photos of some of my favorite christmas presents so far (also my mom is getting me nice fabric shears and pinking shears and a blender, which i am beyond amped about).
The studio room actually has a sewing machine table and sewing machine set up (at all times!) i'm hoping that it will encourage me to learn how to sew a lot better, you know, easy access and all.
Mary Kate got this for me to hang in the studio. It's cool! Some punk rock girl that makes collages told her it was made of real onion skin, but it's not real onion skin.
Irene got this for me from an artist in NYC. they are made of found objects, in this case, lead animals.
I can't believe Irene made this for me! it's comprised of my two favorite things: Tupac and dish towels. Also she made it! How awesome.
I got this for Andy's mom from Anthropologie (my workplace). then i got one for myself! I'm gonna fill it with black pepper even though it's a sugar bowl. I dont really use sugar much.
The best gifts I'VE EVER GOTTEN. Le Creuset Cookware! from andy. in gorgeous colors he picked out himself too. I would probably never buy them for myself because it's too freaking expensive but now I want a whole set.
Porcelain. Carribean blue outside and creamy color on the inside.
I'm a Brand Whore when it comes to cookware.
Le Creuset cast iron skillet in a vibrant orange!
More to come later.
